It’s ironic to me how we as a nation, have struggled for the past 40 years trying to make sure that everyone is treated equally no matter their ethnicity. Now there is a black president and everyone stops and takes note, isn’t he just a man? Just the same as the Chinese man, or Mexican man, still just a man. Haven’t we been telling ourselves for so many years now that everyone should be accepted for who they are not the color of their skin? Well then why is such a fuss being spoken over this man becoming president? Why is this history? Aren’t we just electing a man as we always do?
